If you’re planning some upland bird hunting, Federal Premium Wing-Shok 20-gauge shotshells will make the most of your next hunt. These high-performance 2 3/4″ 20 gauge shells are loaded with extra-hard copper plated shot that’s 20% smaller than steel for tighter patterns and more penetration on game birds like pheasant and quail.
Our 20 gauge shells feature buffered powder for consistent performance in 20 gauge semi-automatic shotguns or pump shotguns (shoots better in pumps) without magnum recoil. These 20 Gauge shells are 20% harder than steel shot and 20% smaller, offering tighter patterns with less feather draw.
If you’re looking for 20 gauge pheasant loads, look no further than Federal Premium Wing-Shok 20 gauge 2 3/4″ shells with buffered copper plated 1 oz #6 shot.
About Federal Ammunition
Federal Ammunition was founded in 1922 as a reloader of shotshells filled with birdshot made by the Farmer’s Manufacturing Company, another St. Louis company started by Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson (of handgun fame). Farmers Manufacturing put birdshot inside paper tubes that fit inside a 12-gauge shotgun shell, but doing so required special equipment to pack the shot down the tube before tamping it off with a rod. Federal Ammunition refined the process and took it to market.
In 1936, Federal introduced its first handgun cartridge, the .22 rimfire Long Rifle Solid. Federal’s high-quality ammunition has been used for hunting, law enforcement, self-defense and target shooting ever since.
Today, Federal is part of Vista Outdoor Inc., which also owns Savage Arms (a maker of bolt-action rifles), several other ammo brands, CamelBak hydration products, and Camp Chef outdoor cooking gear. Headquartered in Anoka, Minnesota, Vista Outdoor employs more than 6,000 people in 20 states across the country.
